The Women's Minyan (11th and 12th grade girls) is particularly proud of our recent work, raising close to $500 in honor of Ezra Schwartz Z"L, who was murdered in a terrorist attack in Israel. This tragedy struck very close to our hearts and the minyan felt strongly that we wanted to do something. In two days time we organized, bought supplies, baked and sold cookies and brownies. We donated the money to Ezra's yeshivah in Israel, Yeshivat Ashreinu and wrote a letter to his family describing what we did and expressing our condolences. This endeavor captures the heart of our minyan community: caring, responsible, creative, fun and empowered to make a difference.
